STEP TWO – WRITING AND SUBMITTING

We’ve put together an Blog Post Template to make the submission process as straightforward as possible. Download it below, fill in all sections, and sent it to us at blog-mail@eera.eu

Please read our Editorial and Style Guidelines before writing.

We cannot accept submissions without hyperlinked references. Please hyperlink all cited references within the text, and include a full reference list with URLs in the template.

STEP THREE – THE EDITING PROCESS

All submissions go through a two-step editing process – a writing check and an academic review.

    1. Writing check
Your blog post will be checked by one of our experienced copyeditors for grammar, spelling, structured, etc.

    2. Academic check
Our Editorial Team reviews the post for adequate references, critical engagement, and a clear conclusion or call to action.

     3. Initial feedback
We will send you the post with recommendations, marked using the Track Changes tool from Microsoft WordAny further edits must also be marked using the Track Changes tool.

    4. Second feedback loop
If extensive changes are needed, the Editorial Team will review the second draft. For minor changes, this will not be necessary.

    5. Preview
Your post will be uploaded to the blog with images, bio, etc. You will receive a preview for your final approval.

    6. Publication
Your post will be scheduled for publication, including promotion on social media.

The editing process typically takes 4–6 weeks from submission. Please note that publication may take longer, as we publish twice a month and scheduling depends on the current pipeline. If your contribution refers to a particular news story or current event, please make this clear when submitting.

When submitting a blog proposal, prospective contributors should be aware that their contact details will be shared with the editorial team.

A few things to keep in mind

All contributions must meet our Editorial and Style Guidelines. In addition, please ensure that your submission:

    • Is research-based and links claims to evidence
    • Address an international audience and doesn’t assume readers will be familiar with specific education systems or regional context
    • Use inclusive and non-derogatory language
    • Do not include obscene or rude content or content that belittles or attacks persons or groups
    • Do not link to profane, obscene, rude or illegal material or sites that knowingly violate intellectual property rights

Submissions should be original content. While your post may draw on previously published work, it should not be identical to content published elsewhere, as this can affect search engine optimisation and the visibility of the post.

If you wish to include images in your post, please ensure they are either Creative Commons licensed, or that you have permission from the copyright holder. Please do not submit images taken from the internet without verifiying usage rights. Images should be submitted as separate files, not embedded in the document.
